Alcohol is strictly prohibited by God

You know very well that the present temporary life is a test and the world we live in is the test-field. Here, those who follow God's commandments will be rewarded with Paradise in the life hereafter and those who do not follow will be punished in the Hell.
For the benefit of humanity as a whole and its wellness, God Almighty has prohibited certain things for us to consume. One among them is alcohol. The consumers of them are violating God's commandments and are liable to be punished in the hereafter.

In Holy Qur'an God says:

"O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination,- of Satan's handwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper. "(Qur'an 5:90)

The Prophet of Islam Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

# "Alcohol is the mother of all evils and it is the most shameful of evils." (Ibn-I-Majah)

# "Anything which intoxicates in a large quantity, is prohibited even in a small quantity." (Ibn-I-Majah)

# That he heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying in the year of the Conquest (of Mecca) while he was in Mecca, "Allah and His Apostle have made the selling of wine (i.e. alcoholic drinks) unlawful."
 (Sahih al-Bukhari 4296)

There is no excuse for a nip or a tot.
Not only those who drink alcohol are cursed but also those who deal with them directly or indirectly are cursed by Allah.
# It was reported by Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:
"God’s curse falls on ten groups of people who deal with alcohol. The one who distills it, the one for whom it has been distilled, the one who drinks it, the one who transports it, the one to who it has been brought, the one whom serves it, the one who sells it, the one who utilizes money from it, the one who buys it and the one who buys it for someone else."
 (Ibn-I-Majah)

4075. Jabir (Rali) said:
A man came from the "Jishan" in Yemen, and asked the Prophet (pbuh) about a drink that his people had prepared from the corn.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Is it intoxicating?" They asked. He replied, "Yes." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Everything that is intoxicating is forbidden, and Allah has promised that I shall surely feed him with 'deenathul kabbaal'.
People said, "O Messenger of Allah! what is it?" They asked. The Prophet (pbuh) replied, "The sweat of the inhabitants of the hell, or their puss"
Book: 36
So, Let us understand that the present life, when compared the hereafter which is eternal, is like a drop in an ocean and save ourselves from Hell.

# Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion. (Quran 3;185)
