FATHERS DAY EVERY DAY!

It is Father's day today and every day in Islam.. Of course Mother's too..

Let us treat our fathers how Islam teaches us and let us teach the same to our children so that they will treat us in the same manner for the sake of pleasure of Allah.

‘Ali ibn al-Husain (r.a.) is reported to have said,

“The right of your father on you is that you should know that it is he who brought you into existence, and you are a branch of the tree of his life.”

1) Abu Huraira (RadhiAllahu Anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah, SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, said:

“No child can compensate his father unless he finds him as a slave, buys him, and sets him free.”  [Source: Sahih Muslim 2787]

2) Abu Ad-Darda, RadhiAllahu Anhu, reported: The Prophet, SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, said:

“The father is the middle of the gates of Paradise, so keep this gate or lose it.” [Source: Sunan Ibn Majah 3663]

3)The Messenger of Allah, SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, said:

“The pleasure of the Lord lies in the pleasure of the father, and the displeasure of Lord comes with the displeasure of the father.” [Sunan at-TirmidhÄ«]

4)It was narrated from Jabir bin ‘Abdullah, RadhiAllahu Anhu, that a man said:

“O Messenger of Allah, I have wealth and a son, and my father wants to take all my wealth.”

He, SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, said:

“You and your wealth belong to your father.” [Source: Ibn Maajah]

---------------

Abu Hurairah, RadhiAllahu Anhu, always encouraged other people to be kind and good to their parents.

One day he saw two men walking together and enquired of the younger one, “Who is this man to you?” to which the young man replied, “He is my father.”

Abu Hurairah, RadhiAllahu Anhu, advised him by saying,

“Do not call him by his name, do not walk in front of him, and do not seat yourself before he does.”

The man who guards India without setting foot on it!

People here all over the country enjoy singing patriotic songs in different Indian languages just like they do in Tamil. Despite the  difference in religion, color, language and culture, it is only Bharat within the world, that sees unity in that diversity! That is why we are so proud to be born in this land! But who really brought us this pride to India?

-        Are they the ones who enslaved the country under their colonial imperialism and plundered the country's resources?

-        Were the Mughals who set foot on Indian soil with the intention of capturing countries before them?

-        or earlier who came as nomads through the Khyber Pass and spread their religious beliefs among the people and called them upper caste lower caste?

None of these people are proud of this country. Instead, they entered the country for their own selfish ends. They sowed slavery on us and plundered our wealth and enjoyed it and continue to enjoy it.

They entered the country targeting the country's resources. But it was never their intention to see unity in diversity. Instead, they were fascinated by the selfishness of how to profit through secession. We are still experiencing its ill effects today. These aside, we cannot deny that their entry has brought some benefits to the country. It is not because of them, but because of the Vedas and philosophies that entered this country through them.

The characteristic of seeing unity in difference

While examining how the attribute of seeing unity in diversity came to be in our country, we can clearly see that the Holy Quran and the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) were the ones who taught and practiced the doctrine that it teaches through his life and exemplified it all over the world. The Qur'an stands as a force to be reckoned with, even as selfish forces seek to profit by inciting divisions among many people on the basis of caste, language, race, country and town.

Humans! Surely We created you from a male and a female; In order for you to get to know each other. Then We made you into branches and tribes; And whoever of you fears Allah - then indeed, he is most honorable in the sight of Allah. Surely Allah is Knowing, Aware. (Quran 49:13)

(Allah means the only God worthy of worship)

Thus the Qur'an proclaims the unity of mankind. This is something that no scripture that came to this soil says! This pure scripture proclaims it boldly to save the people of this country at a time when selfish forces were distorting the ancient scriptures and dividing the people into castes and seeking gain.

Brotherhood and Equality

The doctrine taught by this scripture and the apostle erases the divisive sentiments of race, language, color, caste and tribe among the people who have adopted it. It overrides the fraternal sense that everyone is a member of the same family and eliminates the inequalities that people can artificially teach. Thus establishes human brotherhood and equality. It makes the adherants of Islam standing in rows shoulder to shoulder in prayers in mosques without making room for any discrimination.

Abolition of untouchability

The country has seen great reformers like Periyar and Ambedkar spend their entire lives for eradicating castes and untouchability. They were only able to create awareness in this regard, but could not end these evils. Whereas Islam frees and protects people from these evils. Islam has carried out this revolution and continues to carry out this revolution in India as well as in other parts of the world. It is to be noted that this great revolution of abolition of untouchablity and caste system is taking place even without the Prophet setting his foot on this country.

In America and Africa Islam removes the untouchability between whites and blacks and makes them line up  during the five daily prayers, sharing food from the same plate etc. Once a year during the Hajj in Mecca, the center of the world, people of all  races, colors, languages and nationalities of the world join the universal congregation of humanity.

Elimination of superstition and exploitation in the name of God

As Islam teaches people to worship God directly without any intermediaries and rituals, Islam protects people from superstition and exploitation in the name of God

Sense of self-esteem

Islam instills in human minds an unshakable faith in the Creator; it makes them pious as well as brave and people of self-esteem.

Sense of responsibility towards society

As Islam teaches that enjoining good and prohibit evil as part of faith and worship, it makes people interested in welfare measures of the society in which they live.

Restoration of Human rights:

We can see that this faith taught by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) not only restores the human rights of the  people who have embraced it but also it has makes its influence upon people beyond this faith. Existence of Islam has forced the upper caste people to realize the rights of lower castes and downtrodden which forces them to give their appropriate rights in education and employment.

 Broad brotherhood

As a human being, despite many differences of opinion and policy, the Qur'an teaches fellow man to treat his fellow man as his brother. The Quran puts forward the beautiful reformist principle that no matter how evil an enemy is, it is not he who must be resisted, but Satan who has entered into him.

Like these, there are plenty of beautiful traits taught by Islam!

Know your True God!

When people worship the creations or objects other than the Real Creator, the sense of seriousness towards God is lost in them and thus they dare to commit sins fearlessly. Apart from that, the human race gets divided into sects and castes formed around the different deities taken by them.

If such people suddenly face unbearable calamities they ignore those false gods and turn to the real true God.

God Almighty exposes the hypocrisy of such people in the Quran by quoting an example of men traveling at sea:

10:22. It is He who enables you to travel on land and sea until, when you are in ships and they sail with them by a good wind and they rejoice therein, there comes a storm wind and the waves come upon them from everywhere and they assume that they are surrounded, supplicating Allah , sincere to Him in religion, "If You should save us from this, we will surely be among the thankful."

(Allah means ‘the only God worthy of worship’)

When such a life-threatening situation arises, people will forget all the deities they worshiped every day. They do not try to bring to mind the images, idols or tombs (as in Dargahs) which they worshiped on the shore and plead, 'Save us from this danger'. Instead, they realize that only the true God can save them. They call on the Creator with a pure heart. The above verse says that they sincerely realizes that only He can answer the prayers and that He is the only Lord worthy of worship both on land and sea.

Thanklessness of people!

But if the Lord accepts their plea and saves them, they forget to be thankful to Him after reaching the shore. Again they  go back to  worship their false gods. God Almighty points out this trend:

17:67 Then do you feel secure that [instead] He will not cause a part of the land to swallow you or send against you a storm of stones? Then you would not find for yourselves an advocate.

17:68 Or do you feel secure that He will not send you back into the sea another time and send upon you a hurricane of wind and drown you for what you denied? Then you would not find for yourselves against Us an avenger.

17:69 Or do you feel secure that He will not send you back into the sea another time and send upon you a hurricane of wind and drown you for what you denied? Then you would not find for yourselves against Us an avenger.

#Day_of_Judgment!

So for whatever may the reason, we must not forget our true reality. We should worship only the One Who has created us and sustains us. Unto Him we have to return and answer for our deeds on earth. Let us not forget that death is not an end but a beginning of the eternal life.

Offenders, attention please!

Special attention to the fraudsters and the government officials who support them.

This is the warning from Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the last and final Messenger of God - that is, the Messenger of God sent for the people living today. He had warned the officers of his time like this:

"It would be fraudulent if we hired any of you as an officer for a task and he hid a needle or something smaller than that from us (without accounting), He will come with that object on the Day of Resurrection!" (book: Muslim)

The Lord who created you says in the Holy Quran:

"And do not consume one another's wealth unjustly or send it [in bribery] to the rulers in order that [they might aid] you [to] consume a portion of the wealth of the people in sin, while you know [it is unlawful]". (Quran 2:188)

The Prophet (pbuh) said, "On the Day of Resurrection a flag will be hoisted for the swindler and it will be said, 'This is the swindling of so and so man, son of so and so man"   (Book: Bukhari)

#Day_of_Judgment

The cheaters/ swindlers may find thousands of loop holes to escape from the clutches of the law, here in this world. Likewise, people may even die without being punished for their  sins and offence such as murder, robbery, adultery, fornication, slander etc commited by them.

But they cannot escape from the clutches of the God Almighty and the punishment specified by for each offence. This is not a false threat, but you will realise the truthfulness of it if you ponder over the following:

Beware of your parts of body that betray you

Today we know that CCTV cameras fitted for surveillance everywhere record the events that take place in their view. Likewise the eyes of each of us are naturally recording our actions. Not only that, but the Quran says that our ears and skin record the same and that they will testify against man in the Hereafter:

"And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day when the enemies of Allah will be gathered to the Fire while they are [driven] assembled in rows, Until, when they reach it, their hearing and their eyes and their skins will testify against them of what they used to do. (Qur'an: 41:19,20)

(Allah means "The Almighty God worthy of worship")

Although there are many other ways which record our actions, we know that these alone will suffice to understand the matter.

Perfect Social System for Women

A Look at the Status of Women throughout History

God created men and women with certain differences so that they complete each other. The biological differences assigned women primarily to bear and raise children and men to be the protector and maintainer of the family due to his physical strength.

Since Ancient times, however, these differences have made men feel superior over women who suffered from ill-treatment and injustice, being deprived of many social and economic rights throughout history. In the West, the chain has gradually broken only when historical events forced societies to grant women their rights – only to take advantage of them in other ways in return, causing great harm to the society which we can clearly see today.

In the Arabian peninsula, however, the chain of women’s exploitation has already broken hundreds of years ago by the arrival of Islam that, due to its Divine nature, remains the only system which gives rights to women and fully acknowledges their abilities and valuable skills while providing a harmonic atmosphere in which they take equal part in building a healthy society.

Women in Western Culture

In ancient Europe, men had fairly low opinion of women and often considered them property rather than humans. The noble Greek philosopher, for example, Aristotle said the following in his book The Politics: “as regards the sexes, the male is by nature superior and the female inferior, the male ruler and the female subject.” [1]

The ancient world basically excluded women that they had no rights to participate in the decision making. They fully depended on men for their entire lives. Anything a woman possessed belonged to her father or her husband, and she couldn’t make a contract or enter financial transaction without the permission of her guardian. Inheritance was downright illegal to her.[2] Only the poor were forced to do physical work for living; elite women usually stayed  indoor so their guardian could make sure they don’t converse with other men as that was a sign of prostitution. [3] In Sparta, brothers could share the same wife and single men might have borrowed a wife![4]

The Roman Empire valued women the same way, except for a short period in which Emperor Augustus introduced a series of laws that gave much freedom for women. He restricted adultery, which was a morally accepted and common practice in the entire ancient world, and women were allowed to hold public office or work in the government.[5] However, the protests of men were of great impact that the circumvention of the laws began.[6]1400 Years Ago, Islam Offered the Perfect Social System for Women - About Islam

Even Christianity failed to improve the situation of women in the West due to its distorted teachings. Unlike Islam, the Bible we know today accuses Eve of persuading Adam to eat from the forbidden tree thus causing humankind to fell from Paradise to the Earth. God in the Bible even curses Eve and her female offspring with the pain of childbirth and threatens that her husband “will rule over you”. (Genesis 2:4-3:24)

This concept led to the common belief that women are evil, unreliable and morally inferior to men (Ecclesiastes 7:26-28 and Ecclesiasticus 25:19, 24) and created a society in Europe that restricted, oppressed and deprived women of their basic rights. (Timothy 2:11-14)

In the 18th century, the industrial revolution brought changes in the economic structure that forced women (usually from lower class) to enter the labor market. In the meantime, aristocracy allowed women to be educated although politics and business remained reserved for men.

Silence was still a woman’s best characteristics. But this gradually changed; by the early 20th century when women could obtain degree and enter the work field typically as teachers or nurses. During the French Revolution (1787-1799), women began to form feminist movements and expressed a collective voice, demanding economic, political, and educational rights.”[7]

Scandinavian countries granted the demanded rights to women first followed by Britain where the Matrimonial Causes Act (1857) allowed ordinary people to divorce (only on the grounds of adultery)[8], and where women voted the first time in 1928. Countries with Roman heritage remained behind, but soon after WWI and II, women entered the work market to compensate for the huge losses of men’s lives. However, it was not a choice any more.

By the middle of the 20th century, Western women successfully gained equality before the law; but gender feminists (unlike equality feminists) have continued their mission and “challenged that women should not be identified as wife and mother.”[9]

In post-modern times, gender feminists claim that”gender roles are boxes that people are asked to fit themselves into”[10]and that there aren’t anything biological about men or women that should form social roles despite scientific facts which show the opposite.[11]

1400 Years Ago, Islam Offered the Perfect Social System for Women - About Islam

Today’s feminists seem to take revenge against the centuries-long deprivation of their rights and go further by seeking gender privilege instead of equal justice.[12] In reality, individualism and the value-free approach of the West is just another way to harm women where the picture of the ideal woman is shaped according to the interest of the market while ridiculing those who refuse being part of the system. Hence, modesty and norms are looked down, and the role of motherhood  and the importance of family are devaluated which have had extreme social and financial cost in the Western society.[13]
